SMASH HIT! We had such a great time putting on last year's Fall Crawl in historic Olde Towne Portsmouth that we decided to come back and do it again this spring. On Saturday, April 12th, 8 bars and restaurants, 35 volunteers, and 350 participants made the first ever Olde Towne Spring Crawl a great success. As always, we were crawling for a cause - all $5,875 in proceeds from this event went directly to the Virginia chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! For more details on this particular event, click on over to OldeTowneSpringCrawl.com. For photos, check our online photo gallery.

THANK YOU to all of the 12 locations, to all of the 75 volunteers, and especially to the more than 900 participants that paid their registration and helped to make the 2008 Ghent Winter Bar Tour the most successful charity pub crawl in America! Through all of your very gracious efforts and contributions, from this one event along we were able to raise $18,250 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Eastern Virginia! Congratulations to all of our prize winners, especially our 50/50 cash raffle winner who took home $230 with his winning ticket #314795. All photos we have received from this event have been posted in our online photo gallery. For all of the details on the biggest and best pub crawl to ever hit the streets of the Hampton Roads area, please visit the Winter Bar Tour event page.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We are now looking for volunteers to help before and/or during the 2008 Ghent Summer Bar Tour taking place on July 26th. If you are able to volunteer your time to help our cause (and want to have some fun while doing it), then please visit our volunteer page and fill out the interest form found at the bottom. For your time and efforts as a volunteer, you will receive free registration to the event as well as an invitation for you and a guest to the volunteer appreciation party the following weekend. (If you are interested in volunteering at the Olde Towne Spring Crawl, please contact directly through that event's website.)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! We've been asked many times to hold an event in downtown and we finally stepped up to the task. The 1st Annual Norfolk Santa Crawl took place on December 1st and visited seven bars on Granby Street, all to benefit the ALS Association. In the end, we were able to raise $1,730 for this charitable cause. This event was very different from our usual events, in agenda, rules, attire, and capacity and we had an absolute blast pulling it off. Thirty-nine Santas in full red & white attire all bar-hopped together down Granby Street, creating quite a sight for people passing by! Full details on this special one-of-a-kind event can be found on its website at NorfolkSantaCrawl.com.

For those a bit less familiar with the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, Ghent is a historic neighborhood located on the west side of midtown Norfolk, just north of downtown and just south of Old Dominion University. Its name comes from the signing of the Treaty of Ghent in Belgium, which ended the War of 1812. The first suburb of Norfolk, Ghent was created around the turn of the 20th century and most of its buildings date back to the era between 1890 and 1920. More on the history of Ghent, as well as a cartoon map and other useful information, is available through the links on this site.
